Beginning in September 2008, DCNR and PSU began collecting detailed descriptions of critical gaps, disconnections and areas devoid of footpaths, right-of-ways, and off-road vehicle tracks in Pennsylvania’s rapidly growing network of trails. Twenty-one major trail organizations statewide were asked to submit descriptions of their top ten priority trail gaps. The resulting map shows 107 gaps identified in 41 counties.
